Traders see little chance of January rate cut after CPI

The chance of a rate cut in January moved higher shortly after the consumer-price data's initial release, but settled back down as it became clear the data had red flags, said Christopher Hodge, chief economist of the U.S. at Natixis CIB Americas.
The market now sees a 26% chance of a rate cut in January, where it has been for the past couple of days, Hodge said.
